We have been asked from the company ‘’ Fuel4 ’’ – Staines to provide structural drawings and calculations for ‘’ Wimbledon Chair House ’’.

Wimbledon Chair House is an outdoor steel structure for a 4 week Wimbledon event.

We had only one week time to finish the structural drawings and structural calculations for the project.

Welding the elements on site was not allowed. Because of this reason we have proposed blind bolts for the connections between the steel posts and the steel beams and between the steel beams.

For the connection between the steel posts and the concrete pad bases we have used Resign bolts. 

Under each steel post there is 600 x 600 x 600 mm DEEP Concrete Pad Base.

The structural drawings and calculations (including wind analysis) were submitted and approved by Building Control and the building works were finished in less than one month.
